First things first………
What’s the deal with the blog name? the experientist
short version: Well actually it’s my own word. My thinking was if science is to scientist. then why not experience is to experientist?
longer version:
Merriam Webster defines a scientist as: a person learned in science and especially natural science: a scientific investigator
Houghton Mifflin defines a scientist as: A person having expert knowledge of one or more sciences, especially a natural or physical science.
All Words defines scientist as: a person trained in or engaged in some field of science.
Based on the above definitions, with a few minor adjustments such as substituting experience(s) for science(s) then that describes me. Experientist is derived from what I do. I study, plan, create, execute, evaluate and provide experience(s). In regard to my level of expertise….although I have done this all my life (over 40 year-yikes) in varying capacities, circumstances and levels, this site will hopefully over time provide you with enough supporting evidence for you to make your own judgement.
Welcome and enjoy!
Lori, the experientist
